Another milestone for the Essex QYD Project! They have documented the achievement of their third QYD Benchmark, regarding the community’s substantive investment in youth. This Notice of Accomplishment was presented yesterday by email to the Steering Committee, which continues to meet regularly via ZOOM video conferencing. They are close to documenting achievement of their fourth Benchmark (re: participation of youth on Boards of Directors) – and now have a date scheduled for the Teen Legislative Forum with at least 4 State Representatives. This will be a ZOOM forum, and if they get 30 teens to participate, it will represent the accomplishment of their fifth QYD Benchmark. Only two more to go after that for certification as QYD Community!
