QYD Quest — April 1, 2022

The Brattleboro Steering Committee recently gathered community members at the Boys and Girls Club of Brattleboro to announce the launch of their Community Youth Council! The group presented their plan for the council and talked about their method for designing how it will operate.

The event even caught the attention of the Brattleboro Reformer! Click here or see below to read the full article.

The Brattleboro Area Youth Council's mission is to listen to, be a voice for, and to advocate for their peers to ensure the community is best serving them. The council will both reach out and be accessible to community leaders. The council will have committees (some for the function of the group and some for the current issues/opportunities that need to be addressed). Applicants can live in Brattleboro, Dummerston, Guilford, Putney, or Vernon. Youth who identify as BIPOC, LGBTQ+, low-income, and/or disabled are highly encouraged to apply. Click here to apply by April 30th!
