Essex QYD receives 2 more Notices of Accomplishment!
A very informative and successful Teen Legislative Forum was held on May 11th, and it met the QYD Benchmark regarding an annual Legislative Forum or Youth Conference. State Representatives Marybeth Redmond and Laurie Houghton took questions on a variety of topics from Essex and Westford young adults. The event was facilitated by Dom Sweat, the chair of the Essex QYD Steering Committee.
Essex QYD was also recognized for documenting the achievement of the QYD Benchmark regarding youth serving on local Boards of Directors. Essex QYD has now accomplished 5 Benchmarks, and is only 2 away from the minimum of 7 in order to gain certification as a QYD Community!
